Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Integrative ENT! As a Medical Assistant, you will be work alongside fellow MAs and providers to support daily clinical operations and deliver excellent patient care in the field of Otolaryngology.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain vital signs, chief complaint and all medical history pertaining to visit
- Maintain patient flow during clinical hours
- Prepare examination rooms; ensuring all exam rooms and treatment areas are properly cleaned between each patient
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment, sterilizing equipment after each use
- Stock exam rooms with medical supplies, instruments and designated forms
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Perform administrative responsibilities such as prior authorization for imaging, taking detailed patient messages and upkeep of patient education forms
- Obtain necessary bloodwork and diagnostic reports prior to each visit
- Assist patient and communicate with Physicians to obtain prescription renewals or results as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a medical assistant preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
